Features and technical details

We have a comprehensive selection of equipment for the rehabilitation bike.

On this page we show examples of the technical features of the rehabilitation bicycle.

We have even more equipment options available - just ask us.

In a detailed consultation, we can find the equipment that is exactly right for your disability or impairment.

Electro Motor

There are two different e-motors available for the rehabilitation bike: a front motor and a rear motor. Both motors are particularly powerful and of high quality. The motors offer different advantages, which you can learn about here.

More

Beinstütze, Beinblage

The rehabilitation bike is available with leg rests and leg supports. This allows one leg to be rested comfortably and safely while the other leg and arms provide propulsion.

Special pedal with calf support

The calf support prevents the knee joint from tilting sideways while pedaling, while simultaneously allowing the ankle joint mobility. This mobility is necessary for a smooth, circular pedal stroke. This is important because if the joint is completely fixed, the muscles would atrophy.

The calf supports can be used on both sides or only on one side of the rehabilitation bike.

special pedal

The pedal has a weight on the underside. This weight always rotates the pedal into the entry position. A Velcro strap secures the foot to the pedal, stabilizing it at the heel and laterally. This prevents the foot from slipping sideways or backwards.

Exercise Bike Set

With the home trainer set for the rehab bike trike, you can also train indoors. It has a stable base and can be set up within a minute using the quick-release mechanism.

Trike Stabilizer

The newly developed "Trike Stabilizer" is patent pending. The rehabilitation bike can be optionally equipped with the stabilizer.

If a curve is driven at too high a speed, a trike can tip over, regardless of whether the trike is a delta trike (e.g. Kettwiesel from Hase Bikes, rehabilitation bike) or a tadpole trike (VTX from ICE, Scorpion from HP Velotec).

We have developed a trike stabilizer that offers increased safety against tipping for the rehabilitation bike.

The trike stabilizer reduces the tendency to tip over when cornering.

The two rollers of the stabilizer are positioned a certain distance from the road surface. If the trike begins to tip outwards in a curve, the roller touches the road and counteracts the tipping. Simultaneously, the rolling resistance of the touching roller reduces the trike's speed. This reduction in speed further decreases the tendency to tip.

The trike stabilizer is not an absolute guarantee against tipping. If the cornering speed is far too high, the stabilizer cannot prevent tipping. However, it provides a significant increase in safety, especially when cornering at the limit.

The stabilizer is particularly suitable for:

  • Rehabilitation bicycle for beginners
  • Drivers who want additional safety when cornering with trikes
