We have a comprehensive selection of equipment for the rehab bike.
On this page we show examples of the technical equipment of the rehab bike.
We have even more equipment options - ask us.
In a detailed consultation we can find the equipment that is exactly right for your disability or limitation.
There are two different electric motors for the rehabilitation bike. A front motor or a rear motor. Both motors are particularly powerful and of high quality. The motors have different advantages. You can find out which ones here.
There are leg supports and leg rests for the rehab bike. This means that one leg can be rested comfortably and safely while the other leg and arms can propel the bike.
The calf support prevents the knee joint from tipping sideways when kicking, while at the same time allowing the ankle joint to remain mobile. This mobility is needed for a rounded kick. This is important because if the joint were completely fixed, the muscles would atrophy.
The calf supports can be used on both sides of the rehab bike or just on one side.
The pedal has a weight on the underside. This weight always turns the pedal into the entry position. The foot is secured to the pedal with a Velcro strap. The foot is stabilized in the heel area and laterally. This means that the foot can no longer slip sideways or backwards.
With the home trainer set for the rehab bike trike you can also train in your home. It has a secure stand and can be put into operation within a minute using the quick release.
The new development “Trike Stabilizer” is patent pending. The rehab bike can optionally be equipped with the stabilizer.
If a curve is taken at too high a speed, a trike can tip over, regardless of whether the trike is a delta trike (e.g. Kettwiesel from Hase Bikes, Reha Fahrrad) or a tadpole trike (VTX from ICE, Scorpion from HP Velotec).
We have developed a trike stabilizer that offers the rehab bike increased safety against tipping over.
When cornering, the trike stabilizer reduces the tendency to tip over.
The two rollers of the stabilizer are a certain distance from the road. If the trike begins to tip outwards in a curve, the roller touches the road and prevents the trike from tipping. At the same time, the rolling resistance of the roller touching the road causes the speed of the trike to decrease. This reduction in speed also reduces the tendency to tip over.
The trike stabilizer does not provide absolute protection against tipping. If the cornering speed is too high, the stabilizer cannot prevent tipping. But it does provide an effective additional level of safety against tipping, especially when cornering at the limit.
The stabilizer is particularly suitable for:
